Oooh! Matisse is a great book showcasing Matisse's beautiful cutouts and collages. Explaining how drawing can be done using scissors, making unique imagery. We glued our cut outs to an accordion book to show off our book making skills!

This project is a great way to use art and creativity to work on those fine motor skills. After reading the book we go over the correct way to hold both the crayons and scissors. Accordion books are a great for so many projects and teaching different concepts, for example sequencing.
